# Billing

Buy credits and control what your organization spends on Phi runs.

## Credits

Phi prices each run in credits, by what the run makes: designs, structures, backbones. Every model that does the same work charges the same for it, so you choose a model on its results. The model catalog shows each price, and the bench shows what your own run costs before you submit. Everyone in an organization uses the same balance, and Phi records who started each run.

- One credit: $1
- One dollar: 1 credit

## Buy credits

Only an organization admin can buy credits.

1. Open the account menu and choose Billing, or select the balance beside it.
2. Enter an amount in whole dollars and press the plus.
3. Complete the payment page with the card, billing address, and an optional tax ID. The payment page adds tax where it applies.

- Amounts: Whole dollars
- The smallest purchase: $1 · 1 credit

The balance updates when the payment clears, usually within a few seconds. Until then, Transactions shows that the card payment is on its way. Purchased credits do not expire.

## Payment methods and receipts

Payment shows each saved card's brand, last four digits, and expiry. It also marks the default card that auto-reload charges. An expired card reads Expired.

Select Manage payment to add or remove a card, choose the default, or change the billing name, email, address, or tax ID. If no card is saved, select Add a card. These controls open the payment provider's page. Phi never holds a card number; Billing shows the redacted details the provider returns.

Transactions lists each card payment, including auto-reloads, with the card that paid and a Receipt link.

## Auto-reload

Auto-reload charges the default card when the balance falls below a threshold. An admin chooses the threshold, the number of credits to add, and the monthly cap. A card must be saved before auto-reload can be turned on. These are the defaults:

- Adds credits when the balance falls under: 50 credits
- Each reload: 200 credits
- At most in a month: 2,000 credits

Phi turns auto-reload off if a charge fails or the last saved card is removed. Billing says why it was turned off. Auto-reload never buys credits past the monthly cap.

## Set a monthly spend limit

An admin can cap the credits an organization's runs may use in a calendar month (UTC) and choose when Billing warns that the limit is near. Usage includes credits spent by finished runs and the price of runs still in progress.

Phi refuses a run that would exceed the limit before it starts. The lab shows what the run needs, what the limit leaves, and an option to Raise the limit. An admin removes the limit from the same row. Without a monthly limit, only the credit balance limits new runs.

## Free credits

A new organization receives credits when it signs up. Its free allowance resets at the start of each period, replacing any unused allowance from the previous period.

- When an organization signs up: 1,500 credits
- Free each period: 1,500 credits
- The period: 30 days

Runs use the free allowance before purchased credits.

## If you do not have enough credits

A run starts only if the balance covers its full price. If the balance is short, the lab disables the run button and shows the price, the available balance, and Add credits. Phi does not queue or charge the run, but work already in progress continues. The API and the agent also refuse the submission and return the shortfall.

## Run prices

Each price below is what it buys. The bench shows the exact price of the run you have set up before you submit.

- Folding with ESMFold: 1 credit for one structure
- A complex with AlphaFold 2: 2 credits for one structure
- Designs with Dyno Psi: 10 credits per 100 designs
- Scoring the backbones a generator returns: 3 credits per 32 backbones
- Scoring one design: 2 credits for one structure
- A redesign with ProteinMPNN: 1 credit per 32 backbones

A Binder pilot cell runs one generator against one hotspot set, then folds and scores the result. The Binder lab submits the scoring run when generation finishes, so a cell costs the generator's designs plus the scoring run on them. A full batch uses the same pair of runs with a larger count.
