# Quickstart: CLI

Fold Trp-cage with ESMFold and download the structure.

## 1. Install

```
uv tool install dyno-phi
phi --version
```

One package carries the CLI and the SDK; pip install dyno-phi is the pip form. The package is dyno-phi on PyPI, published from the phi-api repository; the import stays phi. dyno-phi 0.2.x was an earlier, unrelated client and is retired.

## 2. Sign in

```
phi auth login
phi auth whoami
```

phi auth login opens the browser, signs you in with your Dyno account and saves a profile with the organization you choose. On a machine with no browser, add --device. An agent or a script passes its key with --key instead, or sets PHI_API and PHI_KEY in its environment. phi auth whoami says who you are and in which organization.

## 3. Submit and wait

```
printf ">quickstart-trp-cage\nNLYIQWLKDGGPSSGRPPPS\n" > sequence.fasta
phi jobs submit ESMFOLD --input sequences=@sequence.fasta --name quickstart-trp-cage --wait --out out
```

--wait polls until the job is terminal; --out downloads the artifacts when it is.

## 4. The structure

```
out/
  manifest.json
  structures/seq_0000.pdb
  metrics/sequences.json          # plddt_mean, ptm, pae_mean
  metrics/seq_0000_confidence.json
  metrics/seq_0000_pae.json
```

seq_0000.pdb carries per-residue pLDDT in the B-factor column.

## 5. Install Phi's skills

```
npx skills add dynotx/phi-skills
```

This installs the skills for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex in the current project. Add -g to install them for every project on the machine. The CLI command phi skills install does the same.
