# Quickstart: Codex

Fold Trp-cage with ESMFold and download the structure.

## 1. Connect

```
codex mcp add phi --url https://phi.dynotx.com/mcp
```

Codex asks you to sign in the first time it connects: sign in with your Dyno account and choose the organization. Your client refreshes the token automatically.

### Without a browser

```
export PHI_KEY=ak_your_key
codex mcp add phi --url https://phi.dynotx.com/mcp --bearer-token-env-var PHI_KEY
```

An agent, CI or a machine with no browser uses a key from the API keys tab. Codex reads PHI_KEY from its environment each time it starts, so keep the export in the shell profile you run it from. [Open your API keys](https://app.staging.dynophi.tantdylf.com/?keys=1)

## 2. Ask

```
Fold this sequence with Phi and save the structure: NLYIQWLKDGGPSSGRPPPS
```

The fold usually comes back in about two minutes. The agent returns a time-limited structure URL and saves the file.

## 3. Install Phi's skills

```
npx skills add dynotx/phi-skills
```

This installs the skills for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex in the current project. Add -g to install them for every project on the machine. The CLI command phi skills install does the same.
